CAN YOU FEEL IT

Post by crooketarrow on Thu Aug 23, 2012 9:00 am

Can you feel it.
I CAN
If you have to be told what it is your user not a hunter.

I granddad came from the mountains of VA. and was old school and had dozzens and dozzens of old mountain wise tails and sayings.

He always said it's was the wood spirts letting you know times getting close.

Yup! The truck windows are fogged up in the morning and the blackbirds are starting to flock up!

Not to mention, I'm having visions of places that I walked through for the first time last winter and thought what a great place for a tree stand. Amazing how vivid those memories are when the season is quickly approaching!

Yes I am doing a little preseason scouting just to check on my spots from last year. I got the chills in the woods this morning can't wait!

YEA NANOOK I DO ALL MY SCOUT FOR THE NEXT YEAR IN THE WINTER BEFORE. It's one of my favoret times to hike and look. Your aways completely along. You'd have to beat on the rangers door to see someone.

Wish I did. The last few years I haven't at all. I think it's become so routine that I am just going through the process that I have gone through for 40 years. I will get pumped when I see that I have a good area for deer the day I am setting in that stand. I dont take photo evidence as proof because you guys know how things change on Public Land come opening day.

I am just waiting.
