Treestand Color

Post by Miller-TD#2 on Tue Oct 30, 2012 11:09 pm

I have seen many a color of treestands in my years of hunting.

Some have blended well and others stood out like a red car in a green field, so I thought it would be interesting to see, or read, what is your personal color preferrence.

I tend to use this [aside from the one Loggy Lock-on that is still factory color-powder blue but then except for one rivers edge lock-on, all my stands are Loggy Bayou]:

-Flat black one for cedars;
-light gray with a splash of flat green here and there for oaks and lighter color trees;
-flat brown for the darker oaks and others.
-my Loggy climber is still factory powder blue, but then when I use it I am usually 25-30 feet up, so it tends to go un-noticed.

So, having said this, pitch in and show [say] your colors of choice...

[height does make a difference]

Here's my old Summit, from years back. I pretty much like grey, white, brown, and a dab of green.

Miller -TD#2; I am glad to see a fellow Loggy user. The Loggy climber is my goto stand. I love it! I have looked at other stands and I have not found one that I like as well.

To asnwer your post....My Loggy is the original grey and I sprayed OD green slashes here and there. Breaks it up some and give it a look of shadows.

I agree about the climber, I have seen others use theirs with some difficulties and even heard one crack as the guy was descending, sad that he could not get it replaced but they most assuredly gave a discount on another....
