hahahaha, good Q.

I use mine frequently, since I have an original fred bear removable quiver. If I know that I am going on a 'walk-about' i do a quick switch over and am good to go.

Since i made mine from a cow hide i know the feel of it, also I have it tubed so that it the arrows rattle slightly and it sounds like two yung'uns tickling round about the woods as I move about.

I have actually had a couple of yung'uns sneak in when I was taking a break of pbj and coffee...sneaky little boogers...

I re-visited this thread because i thought of something that I like about back quivers, which I think is a 'pro':

when the rut tends to slow down there are still a few does that go into estrus and are still getting it....

I usually strap on the back quiver and allow the arrows to 'rattle' and hit branches as I slip thru the woods, sometimes i can jump a decent buck - it is just a matter of not spooking it to get a decent shot....

hope this helps.

That sounds good. I just made one out of indoor/ carpet just to see if I would like them.
