Just dropped in from Louisiana

Hey.  My good friend WarrenWomack told me about this site. I've been looking at it for a while and decided to join in.  I live in Donaldsonville Louisiana but work in Baton Rouge.  I love to bow hunt with recurve or longbow.  I hunt private and public land mostly in Louisiana but have made many hunts in the WMA's in Mississippi.  Most of my hunts are done with a bow, even during rifle season.  I may get weak at times and grab my lil 30/30; but 95% of my hunts are with bow.  Hunting deer with a bow is my passion.  I love the old Fred Bear bows and am the proud owner of several.  Looking forward to chatting with you guys.

Nice to have you onboard! Like you, I split my time between public and private land, mostly with a bow. It matters not where you hunt, advice and tips given and received in regards to hunting public land whitetails will always work twice as well on private areas!

Glad to have you on. I am new to the forum too and already loving the insight and stories I've read thus far.

Good stuff trooper, been away a little while trying to finish a degree and raise a family but had some good experiences out in the barren north public land this year. Moved up from Texas and want to be back there some days to hunt, but then a friend from Mississippi reminded me that it is 'just a different set of challenges.' Hope Louisiana public land is good to you this year. More than that, that the Good Lord is good to you this year. All the best and welcome.
