Public land guys

Post by Cbigbear on Sat Jan 28, 2012 11:09 pm

I'm stealing this thread off another forum & they had some really good responses. Let get it going here.

You are a public land hunter if....

Your game cart has higher mileage than your 4wheeler.
You scout other hunters as much as you do deer.

Your more worried about seeing vehicles in the parking lot as you arrive than wind direction.

You look to see how many tree stands there are before you look for deer.

You know at least one guy who promised to respect your space and then showed up where you told him you saw really good buck sign...now he wonders why you don't share information with him anymore! lol!

You have the ability to spot bright eyes in the daytime.

Your most productive tactic is hunting escape routes.

Your nightmares almost always involve someone in a orange vest.

You know you're a public land hunter....

If you double trailcam your treestands

You sneak into your area as to not alert other hunters to your presence, forget spooking the deer.

You walk more going to & from your stand, on the weekend, than you do all week at work.

All great responses. What about trying to decide if the trail your on was made by deer or human.
