Virginia BackCountry

Post by SlowBow on Sat Dec 24, 2011 9:31 pm

Here`s a video I just posted to YouTube. The wife and I got a wild hair and took a long weekend to travel to some public land in Virgina and do some backcountry bowhunting on new terrain. We had no idea what to expect, and spent one day scouting. We located great sign, and managed to both (I`m embarrassed) MISS deer on the first morning. This version I shortened for the Tube, but there is a longer 16 minute version on my website that includes much more scenery and the flock of turkey I called in on the second afternoon, that never offered a shot.

Cool! Great video. Reminds me of when we hunted the GWNF a few years ago. A fun trip and a true test of being a hunter. Such vast country and steep terrain make getting it done a real challenge.
