Alright I been given the wool some consideration this year as a base layer. I have always worn synthectic in the past & it develops a smell. I read this article & it got me to thinking http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/comfort_moisture_transport_wool_synthetic_clothing.html
The major problem I see with wool base layer is price - man that stuff is HIGH!!!
